ITINERARY

The Fijian Cup is the most incredible Nines League getaway and we are delighted that you and your team will be joining us. A comprehensive itinerary will be shared closer to take off, so keep an eye on your email inbox.

We know that you and your team will want to start planning your free time in paradise right now. This general run through of the Fijian Cup features key events and the free time available to explore the wonders of Fiji!

DAY 1

We welcome our five night guests to the beautiful island of Viti Levu, Fiji.

Our Fiji Airways flights will land in the afternoon with our tour coaches waiting outside to take a leisurely drive to the luxurious Shangri-La Resort where you will be greeted with a hearty Fijian ‘Bula!’.

If you’ve booked your own flights, we’ll have a very warm welcome and everything covered for you from check in at the Resort.

The resort is located on the beautiful 109-acre private Yanuca Island with its pure white sandy beach and crystal clear, coral rich seas of the exotic Fiji Islands. Only 45 minutes from Nadi International Airport. Your Ocean Deluxe Rooms offer a luxurious space with all the modern amenities for an incredible time in Paradise!

DAY 2

This is the perfect day to get a little R&R in before the real action kicks off tomorrow. Shangri La Resort is an incredible venue, offering a 9-hole Executive golf course designed by Peter Thomson, onsite pools, free non motorised water sports, luxurious in-house spa and 5 dining concepts and 3 bars, all on the waterfront

The resort doesn’t stop there, it also has an incredible kids club included in your package that changes daily which means you can drop the kids in the morning while you relax or get in some pre-tournament training!

This evening we will welcome our three night guests followed by a Sevusevu, a traditional Fijian protocol that involves the presentation of kava (bundle of waka roots) to the village chief upon arrival, before canapes & cocktail function with all of our guests.

DAY 3

Rise bright and early to fill your boots at the incredible breakfast buffet. Double check your kit bags and jump aboard the Fiji buses to Lawaqa Park for the Fijian Cup Official Opening Ceremony.

Tournament timings run like clockwork. The tournament format will provide each team with a minimum of three games on each day of the preliminary rounds.

The tournament concludes at 2 pm each day.

This provides the perfect opportunity to visit the Sigatoka Sand Dunes National Park, the famed training grounds of the Flying Fijian Sevens team, immortalized in ‘Sevens from Heaven’ (Check out the video below!)

Before returning to a well-earned dip in the resort pool with your team and other guests or take advantage of the many other activities available at the Resort! & of course Happy Hour at Black Marlin and Bilo Bar 5 to 7pm

DAY 4

Finals Day! Get fueled up! Just as on day one of the tournament!

The tournament has a playoff structure through to the finals to decide the winning teams in each division (men, women, masters and mixed) and we’ll be all wrapped up by 2pm.

If you can, donate your kit at the ‘Kit for Fiji’ clothes bins we’ll have at the fields, these will be gifted to local teams and schools!

After the final whistle is blown and cool-downs are completed, we’ll have the afternoon off again to make the most of paradise before all players, managers, spectators, family and friends join together for the prize giving ceremony.

You know we’ve got over FJD $50,000 in Prizes to play for, right?!

This will be a night to remember with traditional fire walking, Kava Ceremony, fire show and Lovo! You can check out the menu lined up here

We’ll party the night away and perhaps indulge in a celebratory cocktail or two!

DAY 5

With the Fijian Cup Tournament officially finished, this will see us bid a fond farewell to our three night guests!

A final full day awaits our five nighters to explore and appreciate all Fiji has to offer.

DAY 6

To Isa Lei, our tour coaches will be ready to roll out after breakfast for those with flights included in their packages.
